Welcome to Meet The Team! What is your name and how long have you been working for Arema Connect?
My name is Daniel and I have been working for Arema Connect for almost 5 years.
What is your official role title?
Team Leader.
What does your day-to-day role entail?
I am the Team Leader on one of our large multinational client accounts. Usually, I deal with various customer support queries.
What is something that Arema Connect does that differs from other companies in the same field?
I believe that we place a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. In addition to this, Arema Connect is the first and only organisation where I work with not only colleagues but more like family members. Everyone in Arema Connect is very kind and helpful, this was evident from my first day. I always try to make new team members have the same experience as I did.
How would you describe the company culture at Arema Connect?
The Best! Pat and the management look after everyone. No problem is too small or too big. Everyone is always on hand to help.
What are some of the essential skills for someone working with Arema Connect to have?
Being organised and professional. Patience is also very important when dealing with customers. We never know what is really troubling the caller on the other end of the line so we do have to be patient and listen carefully to make sure we will be able to respond in the best manner possible.
What has been your most memorable moment while working with Arema Connect?
When I was promoted to the role of Team Leader.
What challenges have you faced?
Learning all the new accounts at the very beginning for shared services.
What advice would you give to someone who would like a career like yours?
Try to be as organised and patient as possible. When you are organised, you know where to look for answers and therefore you can do your job 100% correctly.
What motivates you in the morning? Do you have to have a cup of coffee, listen to a podcast etc.
I’m usually very well prepared and have my tasks and goals ready for the day ahead. In the morning, I usually already have a plan on how to solve any queries that I had previously. I do like listening to music on my way to work and a cup of coffee is mandatory otherwise I would probably fall asleep on the bus.
Do you have a favourite podcast/playlist that you listen to?
I listen to my own playlist on Spotify. It is full of mostly happy music like Bob Marley, Hall & Oates and Skrillex but also with some RAP and classical music.
Top 3 favourite movies of all time . . . GO!
The Godfather, Aliens and Star Wars.
Favourite spot in Cork to visit?
Marina for a walk by the water and Yuan Ming Yuan for some great food and a beer.
