What is something that Arema Connect does that differs from other companies in the same field?

Arema Connect offers team members the opportunity to progress and grow and gain responsibility and experience in team building and management of accounts and dedicated teams.

How would you describe the company culture at Arema Connect?

Trusting, relaxed, personal

What are some of the essential skills for someone working with Arema Connect to have?

We tend to hire on attitude and ability as these are two of the most essential skills somebody can have. Everything else can be learned.

What has been your most memorable moment while working with Arema Connect?

Receiving an award at the CCMA’s for being highly commended in my category after being nominated was amazing because it was through Arema Connect I learned all the skills and was given the opportunity to utilise them.

What challenges have you faced?

Every day can be difficult in a 24×7 contact centre as it never stops so it’s a very reactive job. There will always be something daily unplanned that occurs that must be changed /fixed/investigated. It’s always a work in progress. You must prioritise and plan and multitask ahead of time.

What advice would you give to someone who would like a career like yours?

Don’t be easily offended…You can’t take anything personally and pressure is for tyres.

What motivates you in the morning? Do you have to have a cup of coffee, listen to a podcast etc

Starbucks calls my name…

Do you have a favourite podcast/playlist that you listen to?

I rarely even turn the radio on in my car! Playlist, anything from 80s and 90s.

Top 3 favourite movies of all time . . . GO!

Man on fire, The Town and The Departed.

Favourite spot in Cork to visit?

Kinsale.

Lastly, favourite quote to live by?

I never lose. I either win or I learn.
