At Arema Connect we are counting down to Christmas with our top 5 moments of 2022. 2022 has been a year filled with new opportunities and improvements at Arema Connect. As the year comes to a close we reminisce on another successful year in business with many incredible highlights and memories.

 

Here are our top 5 moments and highlights of 2022 –

1. Customer Contact Management Association (CCMA) Awards 2022

Each year in the early run-up to Christmas, our team looks forward to the annual Customer Contact Management Association (CCMA) industry awards. This year Arema Connect was shortlisted in two categories of the awards –

  • Industry Professional of the Year (Support Professional) –  We nominated our Staff Capacity Manager, Jackie Leahy, for her vital contribution to Arema Connect. Jackie has been a member of our team since 2014 and constantly adds value to our organisation.
  • Contact Centre of the Year (Medium) – This award was for the mid-sized contact centre that demonstrated the greatest all-around performance and improvement in the past 12 months.

This year we were highly commended in the Medium Contact Centre of the Year category. We were delighted to have been recognised for our approach to staff management and company culture which we highly value.

2. Another year with our 3 ISO Certifications

Arema Connect is delighted to be recertified with ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management), ISO 27001:2013 (Information Security Management), and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) for another 12 months.

 

Throughout the year our Management Team places an emphasis on continually developing and improving all three management systems. We believe that each of these certifications offers our various stakeholders reassurance in relation to the management of Quality, Information Security and Environmental practices across the organisation.

 

Internal Audit training – In April 2022, 8 members of our team received training from IMSM (ISO Specialists) on Internal Auditing to support our ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 14001:2015 certifications. This training will allow our team to carry out internal audits to a higher standard and in a more efficient manner.

3. The completion of an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Performance Assessment

To refine and enhance our environmental stance and strategy at Arema Connect we recently teamed up with an environmental consultant John Curran from Blue Planet to carry out a Sustainability & Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance Assessment within the organisation. This project involved collecting key information, which was used to calculate our carbon footprint and in turn, develop new ways to become more environmentally friendly across our organisation.  We believe that the recommendations from this project will enable us to be more sustainable, save costs on electricity and implement an environmental strategy to further reduce our carbon footprint. 

 

4. Fundraising at Arema

This year we have held multiple fundraising events at Arema Connect to support charities and causes in need. We believe that it is extremely important to give back to the environment in which we operate. This Christmas we held a Christmas jumper day and bake sale to fundraise to support Cork Penny Dinners and My Lovely Horse Rescue. This was a great way to get all of our team into the Christmas spirit and provided an opportunity to sport their Christmas jumpers.

5. Continuing our Hybrid working model

From the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of our team transitioned to a remote working model in line with public health advice. When it was safe to do so, many of our team then transitioned to a hybrid working model, at present we have over 70% of our workforce continuing to avail of our remote or hybrid working models. Our Hybrid working model allows our team to have a greater work-life balance and reduces both the time and costs associated with travelling to and from work. On the other hand, many of our team look forward to their days in the office to catch up with colleagues face-to-face. To make our Hybrid Working Model as successful as possible, we have placed a huge emphasis on communication in the form of our team huddles, one-to-one sessions and maintaining an open door policy.  Our management team continuously collects feedback from employees in relation to any concerns or areas for improvement. Finding ways to improve our team’s working environments is a huge priority for us at Arema Connect as we aim to continuously improve our employee’s work-life balance.  Into 2023 and beyond we hope to continue developing our Hybrid working model.
