Pat Keogh, Arema Connect CEO, attended on the 7th of March 2017 the Zero Day Conference (www.zerodaycon.com). This event, hosted by Smarttech, was held at the National Convention Centre in Dublin (Ireland) and brought together keynote speakers including national and international representatives from IBM, the FBI, Abtran, Fexco, Trend Mirco and Laya Healthcare. During the event, participants acquired a deep understanding of the new trends in online security including Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain Technology and EU GDPR.
The event was a big success providing insightful information on measures to improve cybersecurity protocols and a fertile ground for networking.
As stated by Pat Keogh after the conference:
‘Attending conferences such as ‘Zero Day Conference’ helps us to keep up-to-date with security sector developments and implement lessons learned in our daily operations. The upcoming GDPR regulations will have a major impact on our processes and procedures. Structures will need to be planned and implemented over the next 6 months to be compliant with European law and above all keep our client’s data as secure as possible’ – Pat Keogh, Arema Connect CEO
